MICHAEL CHIARELLO
Michael Chiarello, our founder and visionary, was an award-winning chef, vintner, Emmy-winning TV host, specialty food innovator, and the creator of critically acclaimed restaurants Bottega Napa Valley and Coqueta San Francisco. He defined his culinary style at the Tra Vigne Restaurant in the 1990s, where he used the traditions of his Southern Italian roots as his compass from which to modernize California cuisine. A generous supporter of the Napa Valley for decades, Michael is being remembered as a quick witted storyteller, a creative innovator, a mentor, a father and our friend.
